Baby Brother and Big Sister, Frederick County Maryland Children's Photographer

It says a little something when I show up for a morning photo shoot and one of the subjects is full of giggles and ready to go.  It helps that the big sister knows me and was excited to see me, but after showing my husband some of the photos from the session he asked, "Who's photo shoot was it?  Hers or the baby brothers?"  Don't worry we got plenty of her two month old baby brother as well.

Big Sister.  I love her freckles and sun-kissed nose.

You can tell big sis already enjoys her job.

Classic!
Whenever I photograph babies it makes me a little sad that I didn't do the same with my own sons.  Babyhood is so brief, so you need to be sure you catch these little fingers, toes, lips, eyes and mouth before they change.

Smuggler Baby Carriage, Perfect for Newborn, Photography by Frederick County Photographer

After Liam's Saturday soccer today game we drove through Buckeystown, MD and spotted this gem sitting on a lawn with some other wonderful antiques.  The owner is a photographer as well and when I mentioned this would be perfect for a newborn photo shoot he agreed.  He called it a "Smuggler Baby Carriage" for it's hidden compartment under the cushions shown in the fourth photo.  It was just too interesting a piece to pass up.  It is most likely from the turn of the century and can still be wheeled around although surely you won't see anyone pushing it down the streets of Frederick.

Luke helped me test it out by putting Romeo in it.  Perfect fit!

If you know of someone who is excepting and would like for me to capture thier newborn in his or her first days of life please send them my way.  With some pretty, soft blankets it will make a perfect prop and can even be used in a photo shoot with a little girl and her dollies! I can't wait to use my new baby carriage!

Baby Photo Session by Frederick Maryland Photographer

Here is a sneak peek of a photo session with a little man yesterday, October 31, 2011.  Snow was still on the ground from our surprise weekend weather event.  And yes, I do like to use real props.  That is Romeo my darling pumpkin cat.

Welcome to the world, Baby Hope

Hope was born on March 21, 2011 at home with her parents.  They live in my community of Point of Rocks, Maryland. I visited with them on Sunday to commemorate her on her first seven days in the world.  She wanted her mother for her milk and her father for his cuddles.  They say babies don't smile out of happiness at such a young age, but each time she turned towards her father her eyes smiled.
